He is personally responsible for over 15 million records sold; there is no shortage of artists willing to hand over such a sum because Austin possesses a musical Midas touch, turning nearly everything he touches to platinum rather than gold.
Austin has produced and written for Boyz II Men, Madonna, and TLC in addition to working with performers signed to his own label, Rowdy Records, based in Austin's hometown of Atlanta, Georgia.
As a producer and songwriter, Austin was first noticed and signed to Diva One Music by Joyce Irby (80`s all girl band Klymaxx) and has crafted hits for La Face act TLC (with which he won two Grammies for co-producing Crazy Sexy Cool and Fan Mail), including the hit singles "Ain`t 2 Proud 2 Beg", "What about Your Friends", "Creep", "Silly Ho" and "Unpretty." As a teenager, Irby took Austin to Sylvia Rhone, Motown head Jheryl Busby, LA Reid and Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis asking them to give him a shot as a producer.
